# What does each drug have evidence for?

> Different uses | Growth Hormone Axis research peptides — Compare Growth Hormone Axis research peptides: tesamorelin, sermorelin, CJC-1295 and ipamorelin. Check who was treated and what changed.

**Fat, height or blood: what was measured?**

Tesamorelin has stronger evidence for a particular HIV belly-fat problem. Children's height gains and adults' hormone readings answer other questions about your health.

## What patient results support for each drug

The patients had different medical problems in these studies. Raised hormones alone leave the treatment benefit unanswered.

HIV patients with excess fat beside belly organs received tesamorelin [1][2][3][5][6]. The trials support treatment for that particular fat-storage problem.

The sermorelin finding was faster height gain in children lacking growth hormone [10][11][12]. Adult sleep and aging claims weren't proved by their growth.

In small CJC-1295 studies, researchers checked hormones and other proteins in healthy adults [14][15][16]. Raised hormones left improvements in the adults' daily health unproved.

With ipamorelin, the hunger hormone provides the message being copied. Its bowel-surgery trial didn't establish the planned recovery benefit [19].

Your age and symptoms may differ from the patients tested. A child's gain in height doesn't measure your recovery after exercise.

Ask whether researchers measured blood levels or a health improvement. These measurements answer different questions, even when both are useful.

Keep the actual patients beside the proposed treatment claim. Your doctor can discuss whether their results address your problem.

## What was measured in each group

| Drug | How the gland is prompted | People tested | What was measured | What the findings establish |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| **Tesamorelin** | imitates a hormone message from the brain | HIV patients with harmful changes in fat storage | fat beside organs, liver fat, and combined weight of muscle, bones and water | Trials support treating that particular fat-storage problem [1][2][3][5][6] |
| **Sermorelin** | copies a portion of the brain's hormone message | Children lacking normal growth hormone | height gained each year | Faster childhood growth; adult health claims remain unproved [10][11][12] |
| **CJC-1295** | imitates the brain's message; attachment makes the drug act longer | Small groups of healthy adults | Blood hormones, release bursts and other blood proteins | Higher readings over days, without an established useful treatment [14][15][16] |
| **Ipamorelin** | imitates the hunger hormone's prompting | Healthy volunteers and adults after bowel surgery | Drug in blood, hormone release and return to eating | Brief testing; faster recovery after surgery wasn't established [19][20] |

## What changes how long the drug acts

A similar hormone rise doesn't establish matching benefits or harms. Your question also needs the drug's other effects considered.

Tesamorelin, sermorelin and CJC-1295 imitate the brain's message to the gland. That prompting causes the gland to release its stored growth hormone.

An extra part on tesamorelin protects the drug from breakdown. Its fat-loss studies tested adults whose harmful fat storage was linked to HIV.

Sermorelin imitates a smaller portion of the brain's message. The longer-lasting CJC-1295 form is carried by albumin, a blood protein.

Attachment slows the drug's disappearance from the bloodstream. That's drug timing, rather than proof you'll feel better longer.

A review explained how these drugs act and resist breakdown [8]. An explanation doesn't establish equal treatment benefits among the drugs.

With ipamorelin, the copied hunger message also affects appetite and bowel movement. Its wider effects need separate study in people.

Healthy volunteers had a short burst of growth hormone [20]. Ferrets given cancer treatment lost less weight, while vomiting continued [17].

The ferret study measured weight loss and vomiting as separate problems. Animal findings leave the human treatment benefits needing proof.

## What remains unproved when a blood hormone rises

For CJC-1295, researchers chiefly checked blood hormones, rather than lasting health gains [15][16]. The usual bursts of release from the gland continued.

The blood tests found both growth hormone and liver protein raised for days. Whether the adults felt better remained unanswered by those readings.

With ipamorelin, volunteers' blood tests followed both drug and hormone levels [20]. The later surgery trial didn't prove patients recovered sooner [19].

Tesamorelin trials tested HIV patients with harmful changes in fat storage [1][3][5][6]. Deep belly fat decreased in those particular patients.

After the longer treatment stopped, fat accumulated beside belly organs again [5]. The loss wasn't permanent after stopping treatment.

Sermorelin's childhood trial measured how quickly children grew taller [12]. Adult sleep, recovery and aging require studies of those adult problems.

For your health, look for the change you actually want measured. Another drug's hormone results can't answer that treatment question.

Blood tests showed that a gland had responded. They didn't measure how easily a person slept or recovered.

## What the safety studies have not settled

The studies differed in patients and length of treatment. Years of possible harm remain unanswered by short tests.

Tesamorelin has more patient comparison trials and a government liver review [1][2]. Only the liver review is limited to checking liver harm.

Sermorelin papers include children's treatment and discussion of hormone effects [8][10][12]. They don't establish modern adult wellness treatment over years.

Healthy adults in small CJC-1295 studies had raised blood hormones [14][15][16]. The safety of keeping hormones raised for years remains unsettled.

Ipamorelin has brief human tests and a related drug's rat findings [18][19][20]. The other drug caused heart-injury signs; those rats hadn't received ipamorelin.

**Users trying peptides for research report changes in sleep, recovery and muscle. Their accounts came outside trials; controlled comparisons with placebo haven't checked the reports.**

The reports mention tingling, headaches and swelling from keeping extra water. Some users also describe appetite changes during use.

Those accounts don't show how often the problems occur. Your bottle's contents also remain unknown from those reports.

Ask who received each drug and how long testing lasted. Similar hormone effects can't supply missing years of safety evidence.
